ONLINE STORE

Online store and e-commerce

An online store is a website that also takes money. On top of the pages come products, a checkout, payment methods, shipping, stock and orders — and all of it has to be manageable by you afterwards.

01 / WHAT IT COVERS

What does an online store include?

An online store is not a website with a price list on it. It is a website plus stock, a payment flow and an order process that somebody has to run every week.

The work starts where any website starts — structure, design, content — and then carries on into what makes a shop a shop. Below is what is in essentially every build.

Products and categories

Product pages with images, descriptions, variants such as size or colour, and a category structure people can actually navigate.

Checkout and payments

Cart and checkout, with the payment methods your customers expect: card, Swish, Klarna or invoice, depending on what you choose.

Shipping and delivery

Shipping options and rates, connected to the carriers you work with.

Stock and orders

Stock levels that go down when something sells, and a view where you see, handle and dispatch orders.

Accounts and receipts

Order confirmations by email, and customer accounts if you want buyers to see their own history.

VAT and terms

VAT rates, terms of sale and a returns process in place before the shop opens.

02 / PLATFORM

WooCommerce or custom-built?

We build online stores two ways, and which one suits you depends on the shop rather than on what we happen to prefer. We work it out before anything is built.

WooCommerce on WordPress

A ready-made e-commerce system you own outright. There is an add-on for most things, and you manage products and orders in an interface many people already recognise. It suits shops that want to get going without everything being built from scratch.

Custom-built

The same technology we build our other websites in. Faster, and shaped entirely around how your selling actually works, but more of the functionality is built rather than installed. It suits a shop with requirements a standard system does not cover.

Either route carries running costs beyond the build: hosting, domain, any licences, and the payment provider's own fees. These are set out in the quote.

03 / QUESTIONS

Common questions about online stores

What does an online store cost?

From 775 EUR for the build. The final price depends on how many products there are, which payment and shipping methods go in, and whether anything has to connect to systems you already use.

Can I add products myself?

Yes. That is a requirement, not an extra — you get an admin panel where products, prices, stock and orders are handled without us being involved.

Which payment methods can I offer?

Card, Swish, Klarna and invoice are the common ones in Sweden. Which you can offer is decided by your agreement with the payment provider, which is signed in your company's name and carries its own fee per transaction.

Can an existing website be extended into a store?

Sometimes. It depends how the current site is built. We will look at it and say plainly whether building on is sensible or whether starting again works out better.

How long does it take?

Longer than an ordinary website, because products, payments and shipping all have to be tested before opening. We give a timeline once the scope is clear.
