Ongoing support after launch

A website isn't finished when it goes live. Copy changes, services are added and the technology needs keeping current. Here we explain what ongoing support covers.

Maintenance and support work on a website

01 / ONGOING SUPPORT

What does ongoing support include?

What's needed after launch varies. Some companies get in touch once a year, others change content every month. Support is based on how often and in what way your site actually changes.

Content changes

New copy, updated services, replaced images or changed contact details. The things that need doing when the business changes.

Technical updates

Platform, components and dependencies need to be kept up to date for the site to keep working and stay secure.

Checks and troubleshooting

If something stops working, a form doesn't come through or a page displays wrongly, we look at the cause and fix it.

Smaller additions

A new page, an extra form or a feature that comes along later, without the whole site needing to be rebuilt.

02 / HOW IT WORKS

What happens when you get in touch

STEP 01

You describe the job

Email or get in touch with what needs changing, or what isn't working.

STEP 02

We come back to you

We assess what's involved and reply with the scope and a timeframe.

STEP 03

The change is made

The work is done and checked before it goes live on the real site.

03 / QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Common questions about support

Do I have to have a support agreement?

No. Some companies want ongoing help, others get in touch when something comes up. What suits depends on how often the site changes.

Can I edit content myself?

It depends on how the site is built. We go through which parts you want to be able to update yourself and which are simpler to leave with us.

How quickly will I get an answer?

We reply as soon as we can. How long a change takes depends on what it involves, and you get that answer before any work starts.

What happens if the site goes down?

Get in touch and we'll look at the cause. If the site is hosted with us we can also restore from a backup.
